TrailBlazeHer:

Empowering Women-Led Outdoor Brands

A first-of-its-kind initiative from Caraway & Co. and Title Nine

In its inaugural year, the program successfully supported three incredible brands:

Wild Rye, Stream2Sea, and Alpine Fit

—through dedicated sales representation, strategic retail partnerships, trade show support, and hands-on mentorship.

Selected through Title Nine’s Mover & Maker network and Pitchfest Outdoor Edition, these brands helped shape the foundation of what TrailBlazeHer has become today: a proven model for helping women-owned outdoor brands grow, scale, and thrive.

As these founding brands transition into the next phase of their growth with independent representation in their territories, we’re proud to call Year One a tremendous success and an invaluable learning experience.

TrailBlazeHer will pause for the Spring 2027 season as we prepare for the next chapter of the program, returning Fall 2027 with three new women-led brands and an even stronger commitment to supporting the future of women entrepreneurs in the outdoor industry.

Because this initiative was never just about sales—it’s about creating long-term opportunity, visibility, and sustainability for women founders in outdoor retail.

Confidently Crafted for the Outdoors—and for Women

Wild Rye is redefining what it means to be a technical outdoor apparel brand by putting women first in every stitch and seam. Founded in the mountains of Sun Valley, Idaho, Wild Rye was born from the need for high-quality, performance-driven gear that doesn’t compromise on fit, function, or feminine style.

Their products—ranging from mountain bike shorts to merino base layers and UV-protective tops—are thoughtfully designed for real women who move through real terrain. Whether shredding trails or hiking ridgelines, Wild Rye apparel is built to keep up.

But their mission runs deeper than gear. Wild Rye is a proud advocate for gender equity in the outdoors, sustainability in production, and authenticity in branding. As a B Corp-certified company, they measure success not just by sales, but by their environmental and social impact.

With bold prints, technical fabrics, and an unwavering commitment to community and inclusion, Wild Rye empowers women to feel strong, capable, and completely themselves—on or off the trail.

Alpine Fit

Built for Women’s Bodies. Ready for Wilderness. Made in Alaska.

Alpine Fit isn’t just another outdoor apparel brand—it’s a response to the industry’s one-size-fits-all approach to women’s gear. Founded in Anchorage, Alaska, Alpine Fit believes that outdoor clothing should actually fit the bodies of the women who wear it—whether that’s in the backcountry or on city trails.

What sets Alpine Fit apart is its unique fit system, offering multiple fit options across sizes to serve a broader range of body shapes. Their designs are rooted in extensive field testing in Alaska’s rugged wilderness, ensuring everything—from odor-resistant base layers to quick-dry sun hoodies—performs in extreme conditions without sacrificing comfort.

Every garment is ethically sewn in the USA using sustainable fabrics, including silver-free Polygiene® anti-odor technology and bluesign®-approved textiles. Alpine Fit is also proudly woman-owned and LGBTQ+ founded, bringing fresh perspectives to an industry still catching up on inclusivity.

This brand doesn’t just equip women for the outdoors—it champions them. With Alpine Fit, women don’t have to choose between comfort, function, or representation. They get it all—designed, tested, and trail-approved.

About the TrailBlazeHer Program

Redefining Sales Representation for Women-Led Outdoor Brands

TrailBlazeHer was built on a simple but powerful belief: women-led brands deserve more than a seat at the table—they deserve a dedicated team behind them, championing their vision, opening doors, and helping them grow in an industry where access and opportunity have not always been equitable.

Created through a partnership between Caraway & Co. and Title Nine, TrailBlazeHer was designed to directly address the unique challenges many women entrepreneurs face in the outdoor space. The goal isn’t simply to help brands launch—it’s to help them build sustainable, lasting growth.

Following a successful inaugural year, TrailBlazeHer has proven what’s possible when women-founded brands are given intentional support, experienced representation, and meaningful industry connections.

The TrailBlazeHer Framework

Dedicated Sales Representation

At the center of the program is a dedicated female sales representative employed and mentored by Caraway & Co., focused exclusively on supporting TrailBlazeHer brands through retail outreach, strategic account development, and trade show representation.

She is supported by experienced Caraway & Co. team members who bring regional expertise, longstanding retailer relationships, and a shared passion for helping emerging women-led brands succeed.

Sales Training & Mentorship

TrailBlazeHer combines hands-on sales execution with mentorship and professional development. Our team works closely with participating founders and representatives to provide guidance in sales strategy, retail positioning, relationship-building, and long-term brand growth.

Focused Retail Partnerships

We believe growth should be intentional. Rather than pursuing every possible account, we focus on building strong partnerships with retailers that align with each brand’s mission, product, and long-term goals.

Trade Show & Industry Presence

From major trade shows to key industry events, TrailBlazeHer brands are represented with professionalism, confidence, and purpose—helping increase visibility and create meaningful opportunities within the outdoor community.

Commitment to Long-Term Growth

TrailBlazeHer was never intended to be a one-season initiative. Our mission is to help create sustainable momentum that continues long after a brand completes the program.

The success of our inaugural brands: Wild Rye, Stream2Sea, and Alpine Fit - demonstrates the power of investing in women-owned businesses with the right support system behind them.

Looking Ahead

Year One focused on building and refining the TrailBlazeHer model across the West Coast territory, including California, Nevada, Arizona, and the Pacific Northwest.

As we prepare for the program’s return in Fall 2027 with three new brands, we do so with even greater clarity, experience, and passion for supporting women entrepreneurs in the outdoor industry.

We remain committed to helping small women-owned businesses not only survive—but grow, lead, and leave a lasting impact on the future of outdoor retail.
